Positive Living

As spiritual people, our aim is to be passionate and positive at all times. Once we invite the Divine into our lives, the next step is to believe that God wants only the best for us. So, how do we get that? We allow our positive attitudes and actions to lead us there.

We start with knowing that life is easier to live as you exercise a positive way of thinking. But not many people know how to train themselves to let positive thinking DOMINATE their minds. So, let’s start by looking at some of the main characteristics of positive thinking people which can be emulated. How do positive, divinely-inspired people live?

1. They see problems merely as challenges.
This is in contrast to the way so many people see problems – which is as ordeals and difficulties too great to bear. Positive people don’t let their challenges make them miserable or make them miserable to be around.
2. They enjoy their lives.
Positive thinking makes people light heartedly live within the conditions of their lives at the moment. That doesn’t mean they stop trying to better their lives or themselves. They just aren’t freaking out all the time.
3. They have open minds and welcome ideas and suggestions.
By doing this, they’re giving themselves the chance to learn something new that might bring about the improvement they envision – or even discover things in life they hadn’t even thought to envision.
4. They immediately expel any negative thought as soon as it crosses their minds.
Keeping ANY negative thought longer than a fleeting moment has the potential to bring about troubles. They know that "Thoughts become things” – so, why use the creative power of thoughts to create challenges instead of blessings.
5. They count their blessing.
They don’t complain about not having what they want. The have gratitude for what they DO have, and even have gratitude for what they want to have in their lives, knowing it is in the process of manifesting.
6. They don’t listen to gossips.
There’s no doubt that gossiping is a paternal twin to negative thought, so positive thinkers never let themselves be drawn into mean-spirited conversations about others.
7. They don’t make excuses, and act promptly.
They understand that their life is their own creation. They don’t focus on blame, but on what can be done to redirect their own misfired attempts.
8. They apply a positive way of speaking.
They use sentences with optimistic tone, like: "I’ll discover the solution to this challenge soon.” And, "Oh isn’t that wonderful!” They know that if they bring sunshine into another’s life, they are also bringing sunshine into their own life; and so, they speak to and about others in a bright and pleasant way. They live with the motto: Raise the praise, minimize the criticize. They also have the courage to turn a negative conversation around. Positive people know how to change the flow of a dis-eased conversation and they aren’t afraid to do it.
9. They carry positive body language.
They have smiling faces, walk with a steady stride, and use expressive gestures that welcome and include. For instance: widespread arms open the heart chakra, palms turned upward invite and show peace and honesty.
10. They care about their self-image.
They take care of their good appearances, outwardly and inwardly. Even if their clothes aren’t from the finest stores, they are neat and clean. They are well groomed and present themselves as if they are meeting someone special - because, with their positive mindset, EVERYONE IS someone special. They aren’t negatively demonstrative in public even if they do become momentarily distraught.
11. They laugh often.
Positive people look for every chance to laugh. They don’t stifle laughter with tiny chuckles; they laugh right out loud – which raises the vibrations of the room.
12. They fill themselves up.
They know that they have to take care of themselves to be able to take care of anyone or anything else. They do things they love to do – dance, sing, paint, hike, garden . . . whatever it is that allows them to feel whole and refreshed.
13. They maintain a positive outlook.
They have an understanding that so many things are possible as long as they don’t accept that they may be impossible. In "The Phantom Phone Booth” Norton Jester wrote, "What you can do is often simply a matter of what you WILL do.”
Bright blessings and happy days!
